It has taken me a few month to come to terms with your sudden departure. Somehow, it seems like yesterday we saw last and hours ago we agreed to meet up when I visit the UK again. What of our plans to abandon IT and setup a small shop in The Gambia and take life easy whilst enjoying the sun, the beach and the laid back life. I’ve never told you this but our lunch times spent at Commonwealth Secretariat 20 years ago left permanent memories that shaped my life in many ways. Our laughter, your smile, words of wisdom and our unbridled desire to enjoy life rather than frown at life so shook the Secretariat that it left them talking about us for years. I thank God for giving me a special friend & brother in you. I miss your smile, your laughter that’s so so full of life and the endless practical life hacks that just flows from you. Rest in Peace my brother, until we meet again.

I first met Devon at an company called Steria, and although I had known staff there much longer, it was Devon who I would meet up with and who would become more of a friend then anybody else at work, that was the impact he had on me. A very straight talking man with a lot of wisdom in his speech, who did not suffer fools gladly, I am so sorry to hear of Devon passing away, you will be missed by me and all the people close to you. May God shine on you and may you rest in peace. Anthony Ilobi

Will miss your banter and serious conversation Will miss your presence within our friends circle Will miss your words of wisdom and your polished persona Will miss the Jokes we all shared , and the belly laughter One day this will all come again, at an unknown time in an unknown place. Better than it was before, as this is the Lords promise to us. So until that time my prayer for you , is you rest in peace and that Heaven opens its doors to you, and loved ones there before will great you in joyful rejoicing! Until we meet again. Rest in peace and know you will be remembered with fond memories, and never forgotten Glad our paths met. Paula Leon
